Jackson is growing quite strong.... and big. When I first adopted him it was suggested he was maybe a rat terrier. I had gone through heart break after losing my APBT last summer and just went with it. He’s turning out to be just the perfect dog. He can keep on going forever which in a way is good for me because I like to hike forever and he never allows me to come home and just sit. Look at this beauty!! 60lbs at 1 year. Super skinny though so there might be more to come. We hiked 10 miles on this day, in the Santa An a.

I always love seeing Jackson content, on here and on the social medias! Next time I am out your way, I’ll try and bring one or two of my doggos for him to play with. I think him and Steve would get long great. Steve is an unknown mixture as well.

Beautiful dog, and i'm so glad that you two are good companions for each other. Definitely looks like my dog, but at 4 years mine is 35 lbs, and with more of a barrel chest. We still call him a rat terrier mutt, but I don't think that's possible at 60 lbs plus!

Ozzy is a “corgihoula” - just google it, you’ll see dogs that look just like him... or are possibly him... because I may have put them there...

W e did the dog DNA test (what a time to be alive!) and he came back as a “certified mega-mutt ”! They could only genetically find 2 distinct breeds - 12.5% Collie and 12.5% Cocker Spaniel. The other 75% was drawn from 3 main breed groups - Terriers, Sporting Dogs, and Asian Dogs.

He does look an awful lot like a Catahoula, and they are a “mutt breed” so it would explain the DNA results. However, what the picture doesn’t show is he’s a short longboi, he’s only 42 lbs and has stumpy legs. We think he’s got some corgi in him, or possibly beagle or basset hound.
